Share your positive Obamacare stories with the White House.
Today we need you to participate in 45’s online poll and share a story about how the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also commonly known as “Obamacare,” has improved your life/health care access.
This week, The White House set up a poll on www.whitehouse.gov that calls on U.S. residents to share their stories about the Affordable Care Act.
On the website, before asking you to submit your story, the White House leads with the following statement (a practice known as “begging the question”): “Obamacare has led to higher costs and fewer health insurance options for millions of Americans.”
This is far from the truth: 20 million uninsured people gained health insurance under Obamacare, many of whom were getting access to the health care system for the first time.
In short: 45’s administration is looking for dirt to support their overhaul of the ACA in favor of the GOP health bill replacement, which would increase the number of people without health insurance by 24 million by 2026.
So what’s our plan? Let’s take the White House up on their offer and overwhelm them with positive stories about the many benefits we’ve received from the ACA.
Go to www.whitehouse.gov/obamacare-share-your-story to tell the administration knows how you really feel about Obamacare.
It is your personal story that counts but here are two examples you can reference:
