Tell Congress: Pass the #DREAMActNow.

#DAILYREVOLUTION

In September, 45 rescinded the Obama-era protection Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), leaving more than 800,000 undocumented young people at risk of being deported from the country they call home. Today’s #DailyRevolution is to call your members of Congress and tell them to pass the DREAM Act NOW.

Since 2012, DACA has been protecting DREAMers - those who were brought to the United States without documentation as children. Congress technically has until March to find a replacement for DACA, but with end-of-year budget negotiations already underway (and the threat of a government shutdown if they don’t make a deal by Friday), DACA is on the table.

The DREAM Act is a bipartisan bill that provides protection, permits, and creates a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. But 45 has his own list of demands regarding immigration policy, which includes pulling federal funding from sanctuary cities, adding 10,000 immigration agents, ramping up deportations for folks seeking asylum, and of course, $$ for his precious wall.

Today, call your members of Congress and tell them to stop using immigrants in their political deal-making and to pass a clean DREAM Act now. If you’re in the D.C. area, join the Defending Our Immigrant Communities rally at the White House at noon. Find more info here.

Use ANYR’s shortcut number to connect directly to your senators and representatives: 202-858-ANYR (202-858-2697). Enter your zip code and our service will identify your members of Congress and connect you directly to their D.C. offices. You won’t get a busy signal or have to keep calling back
