Make a postcard for #TheIdesOfTrump

Today we’re getting crafty and making postcards to mail to 45 tomorrow in support of #TheIdesOfTrump project.

While Mother Nature is sending a blizzard to the Northeast, organizers of #TheIdesOfTrump are trying to send a blizzard of mail to the White House. The project’s goal is to send 1 million postcards to 45, overwhelming Washington with our opposition. Participation is easy:

  1. Download our postcard, or make your own (perfect snow day activity)! Just be sure that #TheIdesOfTrump appears on the postcard somewhere.

  2. Let it all out in writing! All issues involving 45 and the new administration, from EPA budget cuts to school voucher programs to healthcare, are pertinent to our cause -- which is ultimately saying, “Boy, bye” to 45. The only rule is no threats or insinuations of violence. It got pretty grim for Caesar on The Ides of March, but the point here is not bodily harm, but rather making a statement that 45 can’t ignore. Also, threatening the POTUS is illegal, and violence isn’t what we’re about anyway, so none of that here!

  3. Snap a pic of your postcards and post them on social media (tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump or #TheIdes, if you please). This will help spread the word and assist the organizers in getting a count.

  4. TOMORROW, March 15th, mail your stamped cards to:

The President

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

NW Washington, DC 20500

P.S. The current record holder for the largest amount of mail received by one person is Hank Aaron, who got 900,000 pieces of mail in one year, as reported by the U.S. Postal Service in 1974. This opposition would be a pretty dope statement to memorialize in the Guinness Book of World Records, so grab some scrap paper and a stamp, and get to writing!
